Hi, my ex-girlfriend broke up with me a little over a month ago. This is my first relationship and I overreacted/begged to get her back. I even threatened suicide (even though I know this wouldn’t happen | and yes, I messed up by doing this).
I met her studying abroad through college. We traveled the world, visited 11 different countries together and explored the world for our first few months together. Our 1 year anniversary is on 11/11 and I made a video of all of our memories traveling the world/memories of us back in the United States. I am not sure when to show her this video, but it was edited very recently to remove the “cringyness.”
I tried talking to her a few weeks ago and she said “there was nothing to talk about.” Since then, I have only initiated contact once because there was a gun shooting and she was in the area.
She has not texted me and has only initiated contact once, and that was at church. (The same day she tried to sit in a different spot than we usually sit). Overall, it seems like she is using the “suicide talk” I had with her as an excuse to make her feel less guilt about dumping me/as an excuse to avoid talking to me/give me the cold shoulder.
I see her at church every Sunday but I have not initiated any sort of contact. I plan to ask to talk to her this weekend. What should I say? Should I get closure?
I feel that our history together is too incredible for her to just leave me over arguments that involved another boy (yes, I was jealous because I was afraid of losing her). That boy is now her best friend too, haha. Any advice would help. Thank you so much!
